Intelligent Space undertook a major study of pedestrian movement and accident risk at St. Giles Circus for the London Borough of Camden. Using innovative CCTV-based surveying and computer-based visualisation techniques, we were able to show the how the poor location of pedestrian crossing facilities currently contributes to the £2.6m cost of accidents per year in this strategic intersection of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road.

This study advised Camden on the potential benefit of safety improvements in preparation for a planning inquiry into a redevelopment of the area.
