Elspeth Duxbury scoops Woman of the Future award

7th November 2008

Atkins Intelligent Space director Elspeth Duxbury has been named as the winner of the Entrepreneurial Woman of the Future at this year's Women of the Future Awards.

Elspeth beat off competition from five other young hopeful business women from across the UK to take the award, which was presented to her last night at a gala ceremony in London.

The Women of the Future awards were set up in 2006 to celebrate high achieving women under the age of 35, who have been inspirational in their professions. Through this celebration it is hoped that the winners will become role models for other business women.

Last night's win is Elspeth’s second prestigious award this year. In June she scooped the award for Outstanding Achievement at the Atkins Inspire Awards, which recognise women in the built environment.
