Atkins Intelligent Space's work on improvements to Oxford Circus is featured in the Resource for Urban Design Information's (RUDI) annual publication, Technology, Space and Place. The articles focuses on the solutions to congestion in the area, which are demonstrated in Design Hive's video of the project team's Legion and VISSIM models. Under the proposed scheme, guard railing and other street clutter will be removed, increasing pavement space by up to 69%. A diagonal crossing will also be implemented which, according to RUDI, will 'improve this London landmark's sense of place and efficient use of space'.
