1st July 2008

Elspeth Duxbury had a successful time at today's Atkins Inspire Awards taking the Outstanding Achiever award in the Engineering category and pipping the other Atkins finalist Emma Langman to the main prize.

Elspeth has been with Atkins less than a year but said she’d had lots of emails wishing her luck and it was an honour to have won.

“It was a very difficult category, with plenty of extremely capable women short-listed. I’m incredibly pleased to win”. Elspeth said.

Held in central London the awards are designed to herald the success of female professionals working in the built environment. Over 400 people from the built environment sector attended the Atkins sponsored awards being held at The Brewery near Moorgate. It attracted some exceptional entries from women drawn from all over the worlds of architecture, building services, commercial property, construction, engineering and quantity surveying.
