Intelligent Space has a track record on provision of design guidance and policy consulting for local, regional and national government as well as industry bodies. We provide an independent, evidence based and scientific approach to the development of best practice guidelines for design.
In the area of urban development, Intelligent Space provided design guidance for increasing pedestrian movement in High Wycombe, and the layout of new residential districts in Melbourne, Australia. In the area of crime prevention, Intelligent Space has developed design guidance for school safety and for hospital safety on behalf of the Home Office. In the healthcare provision sector, Intelligent Space has provided functional design guidance for Accident and Emergency design and Critical Care Unit design. For events, Intelligent Space provided the Greater London Authority with design guidance for the Notting Hill Carnival that is being used by a diverse group of stakeholders from local government, transport and event management to plan future changes to the Carnival route. Intelligent Space was also an independent, cross-party advisor for the 2002 Parliamentary Debate on Walking in Towns and Cities. |
